Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Thimphu - Local Sightseeing On arrival in Bhutan, take transfer to the hotel and check in. Spend some time relaxing at the hotel and then proceed for local sightseeing. You will visit Memorial Chorten and the National Library. Memorial Chorten is a dzong which is built in the Tibetian style of architecture and stands majestic, with intricate statues, mandalas and a shrine. The National Library will give you an admirable insight into the rich culture and history of Bhutan. Return to the hotel after an exciting day and spend a peaceful night back at the hotel. Paro Airport to Thimphu: 48 km, approx. 1 hour. |
Day 2: More of Thimphu Savour a scrumptious breakfast on this day and proceed for an exciting day touring around Thimphu. Pay a visit to the Tashichho Dzong, a Buddhist monastery and a majestic fortress, which is also the seat of the government. Your second stop is the Buddha Point. Located atop a hill, this place has one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. Spend some peaceful time here before you proceed to the Bhutan Textile Museum. It is also called the National Textile Museum and was established in 2001. After a great day of sightseeing, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay. Day 3: Thimphu - Paro via Punakha Have breakfast and proceed to Punakha/ Wangdue Phodrang via Dochula Pass on this day. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, which was built on a hill in the 15th century. It houses a divine meditation hall where you can pray and immerse yourself in the calm atmosphere. Also |
Day 4: The Best of Paro Go on to explore Paro on this day. Visit Ta Dzong, a cultural museum that serves as the National Museum of Bhutan.
